G.D. RODGERS

Self Portrait 2026

ABOUT
I was an executive chef for a lot of years. Then I was an airplane mechanic for a few decades. Now I'm an artist. Go figure.
Mostly I paint with acryllics on canvas. It's a good medium for the Pacific Northwest beach climate and lends itself to a lot of different styles and experimentation. I usually improvise, but sometimes I interpret photos. I also do mosaic work with tile and found materials. My wife is a writer, but she gets me to collaborate on murals sometimes.
A lot of my art is for sale. Prices are based on how much my wife wants to keep a particular work in our home. She's pretty attached to some of these things, and I'm pretty attached to her, so there's that. Lots of pieces are available on a pay-what's-comforable basis. Firestarters are free to a good home.
The Space is my working studio at 800 Montesano in Westport, WA, two doors down from the South Beach Artists Association. If my truck is there, I'm there. Come on in and see what's on the walls.
Meanwhile, here's:
